    Arquella Hargrove - 'Managing Unconscious Bias in the Workplace'

    Program Objectives:

    -    Understand what unconscious bias means and how it may influence our decisions.
    -    Understand how unconscious bias can impact our talent acquisition decisions.
    -    Learn practical ways to achieve objective recruitment efforts.
    -    Review strategies to manage biases, including educational resources.

    Arquella Hargrove brings a successful 25-year track record of creating and implementing productivity-inducing practices through the application of strategic planning and organization development in both the public and the private sector. She has supported both established organizations and entrepreneurial ventures advising through them their stages of creation, growth, and stabilization. As the CEO of Epic Collaborative Advisors, she helps business leaders build stronger, more effective teams and companies. Valued for providing her clients with a set of principles on workforce development, diversity & inclusion strategies, EEO and company-wide codes of ethics and policies to build their capacity.

    Benigno Aceves - 'Cultivating a Disability-Friendly Workplace'

    Program Objectives:

    -   Identify best practices in communicating with employees with disabilities
    -   Identify cost-effective job site accommodations 
    -   Identify activities to promote disability inclusion
    -   Identify information and resources that promote disability inclusiveness  

    Benigno Aceves has over 18 years of experience in working with individuals of all ages and disabilities. Benigno is currently the Vocational Rehabilitation Teacher Coordinator for Texas Workforce Solutions, Vocational Rehabilitation Services Division for Texas Workforce Solutions – Vocational Rehabilitation Services.  In addition to working with customers with disabilities, Benigno also partners with community leaders and businesses in order to break down barriers and develop job opportunities.

    Charles Pulliam - 'Human Capital Management Systems - Diversity and Inclusion; Recruitment to Retirement'

    Program Objectives:

    -   Understand the key components of effective HCMS strategies

    -   Clarify the definition, goals, objectives, and value of D & I

    -   Learn ways to merge D & I with HCMS strategies without developing special programs

    Charles is a U.S. Air Force veteran, and currently serves his community through non-profit board advisory and directorship, professional development and training facilitation, coaching, mentoring, and other volunteer activities. He is sought after by corporations, non-profits, and volunteer organizations to speak on topics related to human resources, organization development, change management, fund development, business, productivity, attitude, work ethic, values, personal performance, strategic vision, corporate goal setting, and other subjects.  Charles’ leadership experience includes successful development, planning, and realization of continuous improvement goals and comprehensive growth strategies.  Charles currently serves as the CEO for Bay Area Church and Christian School in League City, TX, and is responsible for the management and leadership success of the organization.
