    About our Speaker:

    Robin Kessler is a human resources and career consultant based in Houston. She is the author of Competency-Based Interviews, Competency-Based Resumes, and Competency-Based Performance Reviews, the first books to help managers and employees be more successful in today’s competency-based organizations. Competency-Based Interviews was ranked #1 on Amazon in the job interview category in March 2009; Competency-Based Resumes was chosen by the Cincinnati Public Library as a librarian’s pick for Best Nonfiction books in 2005.Her books are published by Career Press and have been carried in the SHRM bookstore.

    In addition, she is a lecturer in the College of Business at the University of Houston-Downtown, where she teaches business communication and human resources classes and is the College of Business writing tutor. Robin worked in human resources for Amoco, BP, and Hess before starting her consulting firm, The Interview Coach, in 1994. She has been a guest speaker at international, national, and local conferences, and has provided training for major organizations including the US Navy, Girl Scouts USA, Technip, University of Texas-Health, MD Anderson, and American Express.
