Eventbrite - June Monthly Meeting: Preparing Managers for Competency-Based Interviews presented by Robin Kessler

Helping your organization hire the best employees is one of the most important parts of working in human resources management. To be successful, the HR professional needs to effectively partner with the organization’s managers. Managers often make mistakes because they are using yesterday’s strategies and do not understand the candidates and the organization’s needs may have changed. Strong HR professionals train their organization’s managers to prepare for competency-based interviews targeting what the organization needs to be successful for the future.

    • Understand the purpose and benefits of competency-based interviews.
    • Learn how competencies are used to develop better interview questions and evaluate and choose candidates more effectively.
    • Be aware of how to manage the changing expectations of students and experienced candidates.
    • Protect your organization by reviewing the key employment laws and organization policies impacting competency-based interviews.
